What a joyful occasion! This sweet-natured, good-humored, and kind couple are a fantastic example of love at its finest! To celebrate 5 years of marriage, Shavon surprised Shomari with a family/friend-filled party at their home on Saturday, October 17th.
After weeks of scheming and organizing, Shavon and I designed a beautiful fall-themed event! The party was originally planned outdoors, but with the weather dipping into the low 40’s, we were certain that guests would be more comfortable inside the Louis’s warm, spacious home. We set up two dining tables in their living and dining area with red and yellow linens (Classic Party Rentals: Nashville, TN).
The couple’s 9ft dining table was used to display the food (Candle Light Cuisine: Murfreesboro, TN) and the cake (baked and designed by Laura Williams).
Clay and I ordered flowers from Import Flowers in Nashville and my sister Jena Boggs and I made the arrangements displayed on the dining tables and throughout the house.
In the kitchen, we set up a drink station, a bar and a candy buffet, which was a huge hit! We got a kick out of watching adults clamoring over each other just to get the Reese’s peanut butter cups! =) Jena made a candy topiary with Starburst candies and orange slices and received compliments throughout the evening! (Thanks Jen!)
Overall, the event was a great success! Shomari was surprised (and hopefully not too suspicous!), their family from Mississippi arrived safely and everyone had a great time! A very big thank you to Rachael Ogletree and Jena Boggs for your help, support, and labor in making this event run smoothly and successfully! We couldn’t have done it without you!
Nancy Center (NancyCenterPhotography.com) was in attendance last night to capture shots of this momentous occasion. We hope to share some of those soon!
